Since 2007 we have been working in the community of Kannganda, Uganda, alongside World Trumpet Mission. This community suffers from deep levels of poverty and suffering on an enormous scale. We are undertaking development work in the community while we also seek to share Jesus Christ to the villagers.
It is a mission that seeks to bring social transformation through fervent prayer, evangelism, building work and education. It's a combination of meeting physical and spiritual needs that together can bring freedom from all forms of poverty.
We are delighted that Mission Care are working with us in this work, providing expertise and funding. We too are fundraising, so listen out for events and opportunities to get involved in this exciting Kingdom building endeavor.
Thus far, the work we have undertaken has included establishing the first Church in the village, a home for a pastor to live and work in the community and a bore hole to provide the first ever clean and safe drinking water source.
Over the next year we hope to establish a health facility for this group of people. Thousands of people live with HIV/aids in the area, and hundreds die from malaria every year. We seek to establish hope in this community. As we begin to meet their most pressing needs, we can then open the doors for the gospel.
